Here at our corporate headquarters in Tewksbury, MA we have the team, talent and all the necessary equipment required to fabricate any type of sign your business requires.
Our in-house craftsmen take great pride in the techniques and materials we utilize to build our signs to last. Signs and awnings are produced by professional craftsmen, using state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the highest quality materials available. Like most modern signage fabrication and manufacturing companies, we utilize computer-aided design and manufacturing processes and a full line of CNC machinery. The CNC equipment our fabricators use includes a 5’x10’ MultiCam Router, 2’x4’ Vytek 75 Watt Laser and 2’x4’ Vision Rotary Engraver. Our 20’ x 40’ Paint Booth utilizes two professional mixing stations, Akzo Nobel and Dupont, for custom, automotive-quality sign finishes. Metro SIgn & Awning is also UL listed.
While many signs may look the same at first glance, the devil, as they say, is in the details. When evaluating a company to work with, we encourage you to consider the materials necessary to have a sign that will not only look great the day it’s installed but for many years down the road. Ask for the specs when comparing your proposals. If they are not listed, you are leaving the door open for the substitution of inferior materials.
Not skimping on the thickness of the aluminum, the quality of the vinyl, and the types of mechanical fasteners or the brand of LEDs are some examples of the means to making a better sign. These are also some of the things that are not readily visible until it is time-tested. We have an experienced group of pros who evaluate every detail of the job to ensure it is built right.
If your quotes under review are not apples to apples then you are likely to get an inferior product.
Even more important than the machinery and equipment we have on our Tewksbury MA factory floor, our high-quality people are the reason our signs win awards and repeat customers. We continuously provide safety and fabrication training for our staff, because we know that while good tools make the work easier, the right people make better products and a great company.
Although the quality of materials and fabrication techniques are of primary importance to producing a truly excellent sign, when you’re working with experienced professionals, you’ll have the assurance that they’re minding all of the details. Color matching, for one thing – if your logo is a shade or two off, it isn’t right. Metro gets it right. Our team also has the experience to recommend the best lighting technique for visibility, as well as tips for reducing your maintenance headaches and costs.
What does that mean?
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is a government-approved company that carries out testing and certification to ensure products meet safety specifications. These standards are based on probable hazards associated with the product. UL vigorously tests a sample of the product to determine how it reacts in each hazardous situation.
Metro Sign & Awning is regularly inspected by UL and has proven it can create illuminated signs that meet UL’s stringent safety requirements. If you require a UL listed sign for your municipality please contact us.
Our customers say that when they work with us, they have a partner. If you would like to see us in action, don’t hesitate to call to discuss your project and to schedule a tour of our facility.
