Project Overview
This signage project, for the re-branding of The Crossings shopping center, was two years in the making. It involved a series of meetings with the Planning and Zoning Boards, which culminated in a night-meeting/hearing process during which Metro Sign & Awning presented the details of signs’ location, size, and illumination. We even demonstrated some illumination and digital sign components for the Boards’ approval. Following this approval process, we created and installed the signage throughout the center. The project came with various challenges—materials, time, budget, and so forth—but perhaps the biggest challenge came on the morning of the scheduled installation when the EF-2 tornado touched down in Revere. Severe weather reports were blasting across the news stations, but our installers were unfazed and wanted to go for it despite heavy downpours. The result was an on-time re-brand with signage that The Crossings’ team was proud to display, including an award-winning LED message sign.
