Big Retail Center Calls for Bigger Sign in Keene

Customer Spotlight, Exterior Signage, Original Posts, Sign Design

When the owner of One-Stop Country Pet Supply planned to move to one of Keene, NH’s biggest retail centers, she knew she needed a big, bold sign to help her reach more shoppers. Patrick Grizzard, Sales Manager at Metro’s Keene location, was delighted to help her bring her vision to life.

Big Sign, Big Impression

“The overall height of this one came in at just under 8 feet, and the overall width came in at 25 feet,” Grizzard said. “And the custom shapes that we made for this sign really gives it that extra something.”

Owner owner Saskia Whallon had a clear idea of what she wanted the sign to look like – and Grizzard and the Metro design and fabrication team enjoyed bringing it to life.

“Using her idea, we were able to create a custom sign that incorporated three animals – a dog, a cat, and a bird – into the store name. We were able to create custom channel letters to match their logo, and utilized the latest LED technology in order to make the sign really glow brightly at night.”

Signage Lighting Effects Deliver Different Look for Day, Night

The owner also had a very specific vision for how the sign would look during the day and at night. During the day, the company’s name would appear in blue, but at night, she wanted the company’s name on the sign to appear mostly white.

From logo development to lighting techniques, finding a practical way to make a customer’s vision a reality is one of the things Grizzards particularly enjoys in his job.

“This job, like many sign jobs, came down to the details,” Grizzard said.

From Design to Permitting to Installation

The Metro team worked closely with the property owner and architect/property manager to make sure the sign adhered to city ordinances and zoning regulations, and to ensure it was compliant with shopping center tenant requirements, as well.
